Christmas Boat Parade
Enjoy the sights and sounds of this annual Lighted Parade. Excellent viewing along the Bay at Snug Harbor, Matanzas Inn, the bridge and Pink Shell Marina. The parades start at approximately 6pm every year.
Fort Myers Beach New Year’s Eve Celebration
Celebrate with music, dancing, food and drinks in our own Times Square followed by a fireworks display from the Fishing Pier at midnight.

Koreshan State Historic Site

A nationally recognized historical site, the Koreshan Park was a Utopian community settled in the late 1800's. Enjoy RV and tent camping, canoeing and guided tours through the historical area. Picnic area, playground and nature trail.

Ford Winter Home

The winter home of automobile industrialist Henry Ford was purchased in 1916 and recently restored to look the way it did when Ford and his wife, Clara, lived there.

Mound Key
Northeast of the Southern tip of Ft. Myers Beach
Constructed from shells by ancient Calusa Indians 1,000 or more years ago. Accessible only by boat. A great place for archeologists. A pleasant place to picnic.

Lovers Key State Recreation Area Located between Ft. Myers Beach and Bonita Beach, Accessible by foot or by boat. A national survey of beaches ranked Lovers Key 6th in the Gulf Coast region. Tram open in April.

Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary
Not a park. Not a Zoo. Corkscrew Swamp is an eco-system controlled by water and other forces of nature. The environment has been relatively untouched by humans and the National Audubon Society strives to maintain its pristine condition. Features the largest virgin bald cypress forest in America.

Everglades Day Safari
Departs from Sanibel and Ft. Myers Daily. Enjoy jungle cruise, airboat ride, nature walk or a 15 minute wildlife drive through the four realms of the Kingdom of the Everglades. Reservations must be made by the day before the Safari. No children under nine years of age.

Manatee Park
State Rd. 80, 1.5 miles east of I-75
Lee County's winter home (Nov. - Mar.) for the West Indian Manatee. This 16 acre site is open year round, includes viewing area and lagoon, restrooms, picnic shelters, canoe launch to the Orange River, fishing cove with deck, and "eco-torium" with Manatee information and gift shop.
